tl;cr meme

STEP ONE: Post with your character!
STEP TWO: Respond to other people's characters with your characters. They will then tell you, in detail, what their character thinks of yours -- and as per the meme's title, tl;dr is encouraged, but not necessary! Don't be afraid to ask others for their characters' first impressions of yours as well.
STEP THREE: Write out tl;dr for whoever comments to you in return.
STEP FOUR: Chat with each other in mutual joy/horror/disgust/delight/confusion at where your CR has gone!
BONUS: Use this for writing up CR charts, or if you already have them written, link to them!

Shion
Re: Shion
Re: Shion
He sees her as a child and someone to protect though also as a friend, someone who is fun to be around. The way she interacts with the world, takes in information and speaks is completely different to Shion and he's sometimes left unsure on how to talk to her.
Everything he knows of her world comes through Seto and its really not a lot. But from the tiny amount he does know- it could be his world. He knows that the likelihood of it being is very very slim. But in three years and two game world's it is the closest to anything like where he comes from he's found.
From the tiny bit he knows and Ren's behaviour in general he's figures they come from somewhere a lot like West Town if not the wasteland and that colours a lot of how he interacts with her - continually trying to feed her for example. At her base level- young child who has clearly experienced a lot of hardship and material want, she pings every one of his guilt buttons. And though Shion has developed a lot and grown up since he left his world he still has no healthy response to his guilt at being born into privilege and not knowing the suffering of others.
So his response is give her everything and anything she wants- pretty much Ren could ask for the moon and he would try his hardest to provide for her. This means he's an easy one to draw into misadventures because though on the outside he sees himself as the responsible adult who will accompany her and keep her safe internally he would completely and utterly fail at saying no to her ever even if her idea was dangerous or insane- which would cause a further guilt spiral.
This is all further added to by the dream event. Her dream was so simple that it was heartbreaking and he will definitely be trying to make things as close to her dream as he can.
That all said it is not conscious at all. He genuinely likes spending time with her. Though 'games' will always hold a negative connotation in his head he thinks he could cope and it would be fun if it were with Ren.
He worries about her in general though he's a lot less worried after her birthday and seeing how literally everyone on the islands love her. If anyone were to hurt her he would be furious beyond measure- getting to the point of friendship were Shion will die for you is tragically easy nowadays and so the point where he would kill for you is a more accurate measure and Ren has met the criteria.
He also worries because he is aware (or believes) that he is not a good or healthy person to be around. He fears that he will lose control or be forced to harm her and though that would be awful with anyone he fears it would break her trust in him. So there is some level of worry and distance keeping there.
Overall though he likes Ren and enjoys spending time with her.
