IT'S A PRECIOUS FRIEND

The Knight views Ren as an innocent and sweet person that must be protected from further harm. They know she's got Something going on what with the apparent mystery symptoms she had when she refused their food that one time, but they're not quite sure what yet and they're not entirely sure they can fight it. They don't know a lot about Ren's past, but they do want to make sure her existence is cherished, because that is Important.

They also enjoy her penchant for just picking up neat things, they think she has a good eye for shinies and trinkets and General Bits and Pieces. They approve of that kind of collective thriftiness because they too just touch shit and pick it up cos they think it's interesting or pretty. They look forward to being able to give her more gifts; the fact they can make her happy in some very simple and small ways, and that she's actively happy to see them, makes them have a lot of big squishy feelings that they're still getting used to.
