tl;cr meme

STEP ONE: Post with your character!
STEP TWO: Respond to other people's characters with your characters. They will then tell you, in detail, what their character thinks of yours -- and as per the meme's title, tl;dr is encouraged, but not necessary! Don't be afraid to ask others for their characters' first impressions of yours as well.
STEP THREE: Write out tl;dr for whoever comments to you in return.
STEP FOUR: Chat with each other in mutual joy/horror/disgust/delight/confusion at where your CR has gone!
BONUS: Use this for writing up CR charts, or if you already have them written, link to them!

lol gosh in comparison to tim? the drifter's perception of shion is blissfully uncomplicated. their role in their canon was largely a solitary one out of necessity, and they were often subject to fantasy racism thanks to their race, so they weren't super welcome in a lot of places. coming to la was a biiiiig fuckin adjustment because suddenly theres all these people that are completely cool with them by default and shion is no exception.
thats not to say there arent some hiccups there. the drifter doesnt like being in a position where someone can see them at their weakest or most vulnerable - thats an instinct that comes from being a warrior, as showing vulnerability can be a fatal error in battle - so reflexively they try to conceal that whenever possible. the fact that shion met them when they were at that very low point, in prison and stripped of their belongings and therefore without any means of concealing how ill they were, was basically a point of shame for them. theyre not necessarily proud; its simply that the role they assumed back home meant that expressing a weakness meant it was going to inevitably be exploited somewhere down the line.
so shion hasnt exploited that! thats a good thing in their eyes, but its still something theyre wary of. they cant really hide the fact that theyre terminally sick from anyone, so they dont really attempt to, but they dont like it when people can discern that this might affect how capable they are in battle. their other interactions with shion have been fairly cordial and polite, and the drifter isnt one to bring up stuff theyre not comfortable with unless theres a good reason - theyre a drifter of few words after all - but that wariness is still there. its less a reflection of shion himself and more just how the drifter has grown to adapt over time. ai'tuoh was a harsh reminder that they can never get too used to the way things are in la, not truly, because then they lose any edge they have over people who might be fantasy racist (or rule-following fanatics, but yknow same diff as far as the drifter is concerned :| ), and its better to be careful than complacent.
it might be a bit silly to be concerned over shion, who is basically this creampuff lad, but the drifter habitually sizes people up in terms of how they might fare in a fight, and the drifter is ALSO super fragile thanks to their illness. shion is comparatively much healthier and can take far more punishment. but hes also been, thus far, good-natured and well-intentioned and they dont have any real reason to fear him.
so they dont! not currently, anyway. hooray?
