even if she is always 200 miles away from him at any given moment and he's exchanged like, 5 sentences over the istones with her since they first met
he's a little sad about it but he very much Gets It, so he'll leave her to it...

But Mini has no such qualms with these silly people concepts like 'personal space' and 'respect'.
Wherever Faust is, if Ren is within 100 or so feet of him, Mini will likely be nearby trying to find her - for fun and games! They cannot be a true hero of justice if they do not spar with their best friend to get stronger!

I'm guessing they both apologised after that war incident and are friends again? Also how about Zidane having told Ren about his adventures in Tantalus and teaching her (what he sees as) harmless thieving antics. Well, ones that won't make her go and run into danger anyway. Make those dad figures who are looking out for you so proud, Ren. ^_^

Behold, a goat! So Ed overall does have a bad habit of hermiting up and not really reaching out to people, but he hasn't been terrible about that lately. One big thing helping with this issue is that he has been 100% clean since June when he handed his flask from the Storyteller off to Beau! It's not something he makes a big deal out of since his alcoholism was a big source of shame to begin with, but those who are close to him would likely be aware.

In less heavy news, he has obviously been working on the theatre garden this month (which I need to get some proper organization up for, sorry!) and also doing other general labor around the island like helping out on the farming islet and cleaning up the burned areas. He's also outright ignoring god drama because he's a petty little bitch like that, though he's still open to helping out with figuring out a way out of this place and what's happening in general.

Chip Abaroa

Chip has been...not doing much, honestly? Chip avoids pretty much all combat nonsense going on, but they definitely worried a bunch over anyone that got hurt in either the war or the dragon fight. They're helping with the farm, mostly in taking care of the animals (and being VERY UPSET whenever people talk about eating them, but yanno) and otherwise just kind of...existing? They're making an independent attempt to grow candyfruits by their hut, but obviously it'll be a while before it's clear if they can succeed in that or not.

Otherwise, they're often found either hanging out at the Denny or playing on the beach with their phoenix and cat. Chip has started to open up more, being less shy around strangers and less withdrawn in general. Of course, even if they're up to making more friends now, they kind of...don't know how to, aha...

Zidane's probably seen Chip around at the Denny. He likes kids (and two of his party members were children) and might have offered to play games with Chip? If Chip needs another potential older friend figure in their life. He'd also be patient enough to let them come out of their shell more when they feel more comfortable.

Héctor

Same ol' skele, doing his best. Generally rambles around, visiting with people if it's not too far of a hike from the Denny/the islet he lives on. Happily will teach and play cards with anyone, and make up sillier games with Ren all the kids young enough. Cooks a lot because food is fun, messes around making corn tastier and healthier in some mysterious skeleton way.

Not really much has changed for him in the last few months! He's feeling slightly better since his terrible day of upset, he has a family photo now which is a first in about a century, but on the less pleasant side of things, the whole Nastrandir deal has definitely soured him on exploration and such--he's not likely to want to visit any new places for a while. (The worst part of it all was that he temporarily forgot Coco's name????)

...or not, Faust will have been doing his best to keep away from Héctor, in hopes he'll be able to eventually wrap his head around who and what they actually are.

Also since they probably played a lot of cards at the Denny and maybe other games, they might know a bit more about each other now? Maybe Zidane might be a bit more comfortable enough to open up to the guy a bit more.

Doctor Faust

It's ya boi, Dank Slenderman.
The resident medical cryptid of the isles has been around, but for the most part has kept to his very predictable schedule wherein he is only ever in the clinic or the Denny at any given moment. (And yes, he still lives inside the clinic.)
The various events over the past few months have been...extremely unpleasant, but it is the near-total absence of people coming to the clinic to have their injuries treated that has really started to grate at the good doctor - to the point where he's *this close* to just making 'random' house calls to people he knows have taken a beating. Because gosh darn it if it ain't his job to do it.

But on the other hand, Faust's relationships with the clinic staff as well as a certain synthetic have awoken the good doctor's long-dormant sense of companionship, and for all his hidden gripes...he's actually kind of happy? Sure he's still upset he's stuck in some fucked up corner of the dreamscape (or at least, that's his theory of what LifeAftr actually is), but he's met some really good people that'd he be very distraught over losing.

Oh, and Héctor still spooks him, but he'd rather be spooked than upset one of his only friends in this horrible place.

Castor

FIRST UP: I'm really sorry about what a pokey-poo I've been about the tags I owe; Work's been a madhouse lately, and it hasn't been leaving me with a ton of energy. BUT ANYWAYS, CASTOR....

-Has been keeping to herself more than usual for the last few weeks because her canon update was a lot to process and she's not great at processing.

-Can be found lurking on the beaches lately, staring into space for entire afternoons.

-Has probably punched every tree on the islands. Twice.

-Sometimes tinkers with her share of the Dragon Parts Plunder in the closest passable forge.

SO YEAH HMU i guess.

Since they've explored a few times together, Zidane probably knows Castor a little bit. Might have made "you're strong as well as beautiful" comments a few times (and feel free to say Castor kicked his ass if she found it annoying that would make him shut up).

But aside from that, he probably came across her at some point when she was lurking on the beaches or punched the trees and checked up on her to make sure she's ok without pushing her to open up. Give her time. But he'd still look out for her.

SO Rabbit is still very new to the game and I haven't gotten into tagging out very much, but I'm really excited to expand her CR with you all!

Currently, she's living with Ren and is going to be getting out and exploring the island and all the people she can meet! Her closest CR right now are Ren and Héctor, though I have some amazing threads in her intro that I'm hype on developing more.

If you'd like to do anything with her or have tips for me on adjusting to Island Life, let me know!

Zidane Tribal

A few things from the past month!

- After both the war event and the dragon event (and recovering at the mana pool), he kept checking his friends. Feel free to assume this means you if you've had at least two positive conversations with Zidane. He just worries ok!!!!!
- Obtained a Lantern Staff. Potentially good for the winter.
- Goes hunting. Possibly with his pet lorby Blank. He might have invited you to come with him if you can fight. Also gathers resources and delivers both resources and food to the other islanders.
- Can be seen at the Denny and might challenge you to a game.
- He was organizing that party he suggested on the network! Which included hunting with Legion, probably helping the Denny set up, and seeing if he could get some trusted people to keep watch so no ruckus happened.
- Lives in a cottage at the moment with a lorby called Blank. Blank is very friendly and has been trained NOT to take other people's food but might be found hovering over it at times. At the moment, Zidane is the only inhabitant but he's willing to share with anyone who doesn't want to stay on their own. Provided they aren't arseholes of course. He is a messy teen and also sleeptalks.

I will probably update later when I think of more. But that's the gist so far!

Jyushimatsu

There hasn't been much going on with him game-wise since he arrived like a week ago, but yeah...!

- At this moment Jyushi's getting acquainted with the island and the people in it... being his weird self and looking for any semblance or memory that makes him hope Ichimatsu still exists in this world.

- His daily routine is pretty much: wake up, eat, run around all the island, explore stuff, talk to people maybe, weird them out by being himself, eat more, practice baseball for hours to no end by using his hatchet as a baseball bat (Kravitz got him to do that out of the camp so nobody gets hurt), eat even more, and then go to sleep.

- He'll be having trouble sleeping at first because he's very much used to having his brothers next to him and he lives in a cottage all by himself. Poor boy.

And that's about it, I suppose for now!

Yukio

He started off his time in game helping out at the clinic but then... Nastrandir happened.

Yukio has been around, but avoiding people as much as he can without making it obvious he's trying to avoid everyone. He's constantly busy, gardening or collecting plants, drying and processing plants, making notes on the local flora and fauna, practicing knife-throwing or archery or martial arts, reading through basically every guidebook or textbook he can find in the library.

He's polite and nice and has a friendly smile and is good at small talk, but at this point even at first glance there's definitely a very obvious impression of being kind of stressed out, he clearly hasn't been sleeping or eating properly for a while.

Kiri is still pretty new so she's quietly learning the ropes of this place, has probably spent a fair bit of time in the safer areas people-watching and following randos around. just straight-up creepin' as a kenku do.

Ginko | Mushi-Shi

SO, back during everything with Ahidalga, Ginko was one of the people trying to put out fires on Enso. Since then, he has been devoting most of his time to working in the clinic and restoring Enso, as well as his usual herb-collecting and gardening.

Notably, he has in fact been less sociable and more focused on work than usual, which people who know him well may have picked up on. However, he isn't completely self-isolating, and will gladly chat while working if anyone approaches him.

Erika Fisher | OC

Erika got pulled onto red team back during the mess with the sirens, and was among those fighting Ahidalga and then looting the body more recently, so people could definitely have encountered her during any of those! Since then, she’s been helping with driving off invasive animals.

Longer-term, Erika has been starting to get back into sewing (including using Ahidalga’s wing membranes), which she usually does at the Denny, as well as sometimes tagging along with Chip when they work on the farm.
