The Omniscience Meme

You now know your entire canon! All of those things that happened before you were born, when you weren't in the room, after you died... it's all there, in your head.

...And in the mind of everyone else, for that matter. Now what?

• Comment with your characters. They now know everything that went on in their canon. Hooray for omniscience!
• Others comment to them ALSO knowing their canon. Oops.

I suppose the point of saying it is... I would like to register that I have an objection, even if I know it won't be heeded. That the way things are isn't something everyone else is fine with.

[Look now things are...complicated. They don't like showing their face, for obvious enough reasons. Even without the threat of the sort of disgust that would have been standard where they come from, the thought of exposing their face is...not great.]

[Muffet doesn't want to push them... but she also doesn't want to just leave their sadness unaddressed. She reaches in and selects three donuts, wraps them carefully in a napkin, and holds them out to the Drifter.]

You can save them for another time, if you want. They're monster food, so they won't spoil.

[Well, fair. Even if this is a liminal space where such things don't really count or matter.]

[She has to admire their persistence, given how stubborn she can be, even if it's inconvenient.]

How about you act as a taste-tester for me? I'm still curious about your culinary preferences. You can tell me which flavor you liked best, later, once you've tried them.

[Muffet smiles gently and hands them the package. Pointing at each of the donuts in turn, from left to right, she explains:]

This one is lemon-flavored, this one is chocolate, and this one is blueberry. I don't know if you've had any of those before...

[They don't actually know what any of those things are. If such things existed in their world, they never learned the names for them.]

It should be an interesting experience, then.

[They can offer...little besides a cursory nod at that. And if nothing else will call to their attention, they will take their leave now.]

[Hopefully someday they'll feel comfortable enough to stay a little longer, but there's no sense trying to push it when they're not ready.]
