Spoilers.
The Omniscience Meme
You now know your entire canon! All of those things that happened before you were born, when you weren't in the room, after you died... it's all there, in your head.
...And in the mind of everyone else, for that matter. Now what?
• Comment with your characters. They now know everything that went on in their canon. Hooray for omniscience!
• Others comment to them ALSO knowing their canon. Oops.
• ????
• Profit.
Example: The Drifter now knows that at the end of their quest, they really will die. And so does Guzma. And Osomatsu. And-

You, uh...you have college where you come from?
[There's a ritualistic tendency toward coffee and donuts when pulling all-nighters. This feels...oddly appropriate, all things considered.]

[The rest of the box contains standard human flavors. Like blueberry.]
Oh yes- I majored in business and economics. Useful, for what I wanted to do.
[She feels like he's earned the right to a bit of self-pity, but also suspects that it would be unhelpful to broach the topic.]
Although, one can make a career out of anything, with sufficient luck and effort. One of my old roommates did quite well with a degree in Tem Studies.
[Which is impressive, because as far as anyone could tell, he wasn't even a Temmie.]

[He hesitates over a donut of the chocolate persuasion. Then he chooses, very firmly, to pick a different kind. He knows who that impulse belongs to. He won't let those streams get crossed any further.]
Tem Studies, huh?

[She's aware that he's probably just seen as much about her as she has about him, and that neither of them is entirely comfortable about it.]
In any case, their particular subspecies of monster managed to preserve a fair amount of their unique culture after the War, so they're historically interesting.
At least, I think that's what my roommate told me about them. I don't know, it's not like I was the one majoring in it.

Guess so. Can't, uh...can't really claim that I understand everything that happened in all that.
[Because it's easier to say that than "that one time I resonated with the soul of the future of the Underground and learned why they are the way they are and also might have damaged them irreparably in the process woop woop"]

I mean, does she look like a skeleton to you?]In all fairness, I've been doing business with Temmies for years now and I don't really understand them either. Their, er, unique dialect can be a little hard to parse.
Very cheerful people, though, in their own odd way.

[And...armorsmiths? Is that a thing?]

[No matter how much money the Tem Shop lost, it never did seem to risk going out of business.]

...I have heard that some small percentage of humans are allergic to Temmie fur, though, that could be a problem. Then again, it's not a small island, they could probably just avoid anyone with that issue.

[Since the amount of humans around when she was growing up was, uh, none. The last of the six ill-fated souls fell long before she was born, and Frisk didn't arrive until she was already an adult.]

[AW YEAH OMNISCIENCE GOES BOTH WAYS]
no subject
No, it doesn't quite compare to that. But there's a difference between one year of my life and the first twenty-four of them- it's been very fun, but I'm still not quite used to them all.
no subject
Some people never get used to it.
[...he'd, uh.]
[He'd know.]

I think it helps that all the other monsters are still figuring it out, too- it's reassuring that I'm not the only one learning.

[Which is to say: a little of both, and hell if she knows how it's going to end up.]

[Donuts are both helping and hurting him at the moment, he'll say that much - because they're reminding him wholesale of happier times.]

[Muffet takes another donut for herself and eats it slowly, wiping her mouth neatly on a napkin when she finishes.]
...I admit, I do have to wonder how far we'll ultimately get. I'd been worried about the future, before, but I hadn't realized I needed to be so concerned about literally repeating our past.

[Story of his damn life.]

[Like, for all the things that could have been a factor in human-monster relations, she seriously wasn't expecting time travel to be one of them.]

[Not for nothing, but she ought to get used to it.]
