It is the deaths. Unfortunately, that number is not an accurate record of my current death tally. Though guessing that would lead us into an entirely different game.

Yeah but consider the following: you can't stab anything while dead. Each death is cutting down your stabbing time by like 10%.

What a pity. I suppose I'll just make up for it with double the stabs.

That depends, [Says Chara, for all intents giving it considerable thought.] on whether there is a point to stabbing you...aside from the obvious.
